[Heart in a Knot] We're on the cusp of something (w/ Tony)
The news of Maurice Fischer's death hit Arthur's radar within minutes/hours of it happening.
It didn't take long for Arthur to pack up what he had and be on the way to the warehouse to warn Cobb, getting there at the same time as Saito's driver pulled in.
After that, it was a flurry of activity. To get Eames and Yusuf to the warehouse, to make sure all documentation of the job was burned and to clean the warehouse of any fingerprints or discriminating evidence of their actions.
Saito assured them that he had the best team on it but Arthur preferred to do his own clean up. To make sure what needed to be burned was burned, etc.
Soon, they were all at the airport as they waited for the flight that would take them to Australia to meet up with Robert Fischer.
Arthur sat with a cup of airport coffee resting on a knee held onto by one hand and his phone in the other, flipping through news reports for something to catch his eye. After a few minutes, he typed out a text to Tony.
We're on the move. If all goes as planned, I'll be in LA by the weekend.

"Just... glad you're here," he said, fighting back wanting to say that he needed him. "I need you here," he sighed, holding him tight, kissing him suddenly, fiercely.
no subject
That kiss was what had been on his mind.
Arthur smiled against his mouth and returned the fierce and hard kiss with a low moan, sliding his hand into Tony's hair. "Need you too," he mumbled against his lips before licking at his bottom lip.

He wanted to know that in his last moments, it was Arthur he sought out. He liked knowing Arthur would come back here, no matter what happened. That meant the world to him.
He held him close, stroking Arthur's back as he pushed him back against the bed, leaning over him to not break the kiss.

The fact that they made room for each other in their lives (and closets) made all the difference to Arthur. Made him know it wasn't some fleeting thing.
Arthur moaned low into Tony's mouth and allowed himself to be pushed back against the bed, sliding a hand into the man's hair. He braced his foot on the bed as he deepened the kiss further, keeping him close - as much as he could anyway. Kissing Tony had always been exciting, arousing and undeniably among the best and fuck, he was glad to be here doing this with him again.

Sliding his body against Arthur's, moving against him as he claimed his mouth. Kissing him hard, wanting to drive him mad, show him how much he had missed him and all that had been nearly taken from them.
no subject
He moaned into Tony's mouth and tightened his fingers in his hair, wrapping both legs around his waist. Truth was, Tony wouldn't have to work too hard to drive Arthur mad with desire. Not after months of only having phone calls and texting to keep them connected, at least.
He loved feeling Tony's body against his and that mouth against his own. "Fuck," He murmured against Tony's mouth before pressing a hard kiss to his lips again.
no subject
Moving against him, rocking his body against the point man's. "God. Thought... I can't... I need you here," he finally managed, breathing the word out between kisses. "I know jobs," he said, still rocking against him, caught up in lust and love and a million other things. "But make this home, Arthur. Please."
He hadn't even thought about it, about making him moving in official, but there it was.

Wherever Tony was, Arthur was home.
He had been to many places and had many safe houses all around the world but when it came down to it, nothing had felt like home. Not until he had met Tony and they started building something together. Building a relationship together. It was only then that Arthur started to feel like he had somewhere he could and wanted to return to.

"Yeah well, I'm here, so stay with me. You can have your own room, a lab, an office. Whatever you need, but make it here," he said, leaning down to kiss him again.
He needed this so badly that it made his chest hurt. His damn heart actually hurt thinking about close he had come to losing this perfect man beneath him, and he would never take that chance again.
Not if they could somehow avoid it.

Arthur pulled away from his mouth for just a second to respond. "I don't want my own room. An office, however, is something I could use," he said before leaning up to kiss him again, sliding a hand into his hair. "An an extra large closet,"he teased him with a smile.
He didn't want to lose Tony and though he would continue to take jobs, he was not working a job that would potentially make him lose this man above him. When he was on that plane to New York and had yet to get a hold of Stark, he had felt sick to his stomach with worry - sure he had lost him or something else terrible had happened.
no subject
"Well, office can happen, with your own whiteboard walls," he said, smirking at that. "And we'll convert the room you don't want into a closet," he offered, meaning it. "I'll get Pepper on it in the morning, have it done in a few days. If you need things moved here, we can do it, or hire someone."
He understood that Arthur might not want strangers, even ones that Tony hired, handling his things.
"Anything else you need? Speak now or forever hold your peace," he teased.
no subject
"May want to focus on the clean up part first - considering most of the tower is destroyed," he said with a smile. As much as he loved the idea of Tony getting started on things for him, Tony had more important situations to take care of. What with gods and the alien invasion. "It'll give me time to pack my things in the flat here and move it over."
As much as he trusted Tony and knew he only hired the best, Arthur didn't want strangers to touch his things. He appreciated the sentiment all the same.
"As of this second? I have no other requests. Other than this...," he leaned up to press his mouth to Tony's again, tightening his fingers in Tony's hair with an appreciative sound.
no subject
"Well, you know. That," he said, waving a hand, smirking. "As for that..." He paused though, considering. "I may revise the plans, because I was going to make floors for the others, but if you're staying here, I won't have you leaving because you're afraid they'll know you're here," he asid, working to protect Arthur as Arthur wanted to be.
That was definitely distracting enough, leaning up into the kiss with a groan, moving to push closer to him, rocking gently against the other man.
no subject
He bit on his lip a little and looked at him more honestly and seriously. "You know I wouldn't never assume that you would simply just give me something, right?" He knew Tony had to know - Arthur wasn't always the easiest to take gifts of any size. He just didn't want the man to think he was just like any other person out there who wanted to take advantage.
Arthur stayed silent for a moment after Tony mentioned the others and himself. He was a private man and he was glad that Tony was considering that just as seriously as Arthur would. "Do you think they'd go around sharing...?"
no subject
He leaned in, kissing him once more.
"Would they? No. If we ask them not to, no. They wouldn't say a word. But if you're uncomfortable, you come first and they can have another tower. Only one that stays already knows and isn't saying a word." Pepper.
no subject
If he thought about it though, and he has, neither of them have been through something like this before and it was frankly new for the both of them. "You're my favorite person too," he admitted and slid his fingers through Tony's hair. "You know, I wouldn't mind testing out the system first."
Arthur smiled when Tony kissed him. He was never not going to get tired of that. He had missed those kisses, his body pressed into his over the last several months.
He nodded, "Let me give it some thought." Truth was, this group would understand the value behind being secret. But first? He wanted to meet them. "I... want to meet them first."
no subject
And that they shared this kind of intimacy, so easily and wanted between them both, it meant the world to Tony and he'd do it as long as he could.
"All the time you need," he said with a nod, considering what. "Whenever you're up for that."
no subject
He liked the way they shared this. He liked the way they could banter back and forth and still find comfort and intimacy in kisses, hugs and soft words that they didn't share with anyone else. Arthur wasn't a sentimental man by any means but he was going to hold onto this relationship with Tony for as long as he could. It meant too much to him to do so otherwise.
"I did say that I would go with you tomorrow morning to watch... someone leave I think you said?" He would be okay doing that. This way he could observe.
no subject
"You could call it that. Getting rid of someone," he said, nose wrinkling. "The one that opened the portal to bring on the invasion," he admitted, his voice softening. "Thor's brother."
no subject
He lifted a hand and slid it over Tony's cheek. "Ah, I see." He didn't like this brother one bit. Not if he nearly lost Tony because of him. "Then, it looks like, I'll meet the crew tomorrow." Arthur leaned up to press a soft kiss to his lips. He hated the look on Tony's face and wanted to make it go away if he could. At the very least, help make it go away for the time being.

"If you accidentally shoot Loki in the head, not many would mind," he said, offering a bright, tight smile.
no subject
Though, for Tony, he would consider it. Even if it was just for a minute.

He didn't normally wish for things like this but he really wished he could have picked up that phone call when Tony called. Heard his voice.
no subject
"I have to admit," he murmured against his mouth. "Kind of happy myself. You okay though?"
