[01] Well, hello -- Criminal Minds for [personal profile] noc

Inception.

Arthur had said it couldn't be done and yet here he was, boarding a plane to Prague just hours after completing the unfathomable.

They had just barely scraped through, what with all of the last minute plan changes, and they wouldn't know for weeks whether the seed would take but so far it looked like it had and they were all alive. To be honest, it had been one of the most difficult jobs of Arthur's career and also the most eye opening experience he's had in a long time.

Once Cobb and Fischer Jr had left with their respective parties, Arthur had seen their forger and chemist off. They were a pair who defied the expectations of their profession openly admitted to being together and never working without the other to wherever it was that they would spend their fourth - fifth honeymoon. ("Cabo." "God no, remember last time?" "Nepal? You liked Nepal." "It wasn't Nepal that I liked so much as --" Anyway, you get the picture.)

Once he had seen them off, he watched Ariadne buy her ticket for her return trip to Paris (she did have classes to return to after all) and would be sure to keep in contact with the architect. She had promise and if she chose to continue in dream share, she should work with some of the best.

As for Arthur himself, he booked the first flight he could to Prague. He had a safe house there and he could take a little time off to relax, study what Fischer did and check in with Cobb to see how he and the children were adjusting. He would never work with the extractor again unless in dire circumstances but the whole point was getting him back home to his children. As far as Arthur saw it, he had done just that.

He didn't normally indulge in first class seating when leaving a job - it could draw too much attention but for a fourteen hour flight, after just getting off of a long flight, he didn't feel like sitting in cramped corners with a child on one side and one behind him kicking his chair. At least in first class, that was bound to happen less. For now, it appeared that the chair next to him was empty and he was a little thankful for that. Perhaps he'd get a little sleep after all - well, eventually. Once the adrenaline of what he just helped accomplished wore off.

Tuck jerked at that, not very subtle in the fact that his head snapped up, looking around to see what Arthur was talking about. "Wait, what? Huh?" Confusion creased his brow. "Wait, you're playing me, right?" Truth was, in Tuck's mind, he had to be.

"Shame life doesn't always play along," he said softly, shaking his head to get rid of it. "But that's not here and now, is it?"

[personal profile] noc 2012-12-30 08:41 am (UTC)(link)
Ducking his head, Tuck actually blushed. "Right. Got it," he muttered, looking embarrassed though he offered a smile to the other man.

"Oh? Is that what life is? Well then. I think that's a pretty good part of life to have," he said, recovering himself fairly quickly. "Do tell, what kind of dates do you normally go on?"

[personal profile] noc 2013-01-01 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
"At all," he asked, arching a brow. Leave it to Tuck to focus on that and not even get the least bit distracted. He definitely wanted to know how that was. "At all? Work? Don't date much," he asked, arching a brow.

He leaned in a bit closer to him. "And what means that I'm different if you don't do dating," he asked, liking being near to him.

"I think we should do all of those. After all, we both have to have dinner on different days, don't we?"

All of this was madness, Tuck knew that. He was flirting with a stranger. A stranger that was male to boot. He hadn’t indulged like that since he was barely out of school but there was something about it that felt positively… freeing. Not that it wasn’t something he could have done before but with all he’d been enduring, the son he felt he had nearly lost, and all that came between, to have this time when he could. Soon enough he’d be back with the Bureau and his life and who knew where this could go then.

He caught that shift in Arthur’s gaze though, smiling as he wriggled over to be as close as he might with the arm rests and the first class seating and all.

“I’m ready for us to enjoy your life too,” he said, turning up the flirtations as best he could. In all honest, he left the serious flirting to FDR but in this instance, he was willing to try. More than willing to try.

“I just want you to know, that I’m thinking about what it would be like to kiss you too,” he said, making that assumption and hoping his intuitive leap wasn’t off.

"We do. I plan to have dates from you before we land. I mean the actual physical dates. Are they physical," he asked, though the words trailed off as Arthur leaned in closer.

Then their lips were touching and they were kissing and Tuck realized he'd lost all ability to think. At least not about anything but Arthur. The way his lips felt against Tuck's, the soft shush of his breath.

Without thinking, his hand came up to cup the back of the other man's head. Kissing him a bit deeper, tongue sweeping over his bottom lip with a groan. They were on a plane. In public. He was forgetting that a bit.

They'd just met and that was part of why it felt okay. Who knew where it could go or what could change but until then, they had this. A kiss. Plans for a date. Not to mention the way Arthur responded. It was enough to make him whimper. The sound, the feel of his hand.

Tuck barely broke the kiss with a groan. "Yeah, public. Remind me of that."

Oh but that was charming, at least to Tuck. Acknowledging that truth, remembering where they were, and Arthur didn't seem to care. He liked that. He liked knowing he still waned to kiss him though someone could have been watching them.

And someone was.

There was a clearing of a throat and then a perky voice.

"Gentleman, I'm sorry to bother you but the gentlemen two rows back wanted me to bring you this," she said, holding two crystals flutes and a bottle of champagne.

[personal profile] noc 2013-01-09 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
Oh but Tuck was grinning. It was a huge, wide smile. He was loving this. He grinned, accepting the bottle and glasses. "Thank them so much for us," he said with a smile. Looking to Arthur. "Wasn't that a charming offer," he said, moving to try and lower the table with the glasses in hand. "Please, help me," he murmured.

Still smiling because this was darling and sweet. He leaned over to Arthur. "They think we're a couple, Darling, and open about it," he admitted. "I saw them whispering earlier and it was... intimate."

[personal profile] noc 2013-01-12 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
So much of Tuck's life was games and masks. He didn't want one now. He did it for a living and now he just wanted to be with someone and talk to them and be himself. If they avoided work talk, then he could avoid all the other talk that meant more masks and hiding. This though, this was being himself and he loved it.

"Not as handsome as you are," he noted, moving to open the bottle. "I guess we're not done with champagne, are we?"

And he realized he didn't mind that, just so long as they still had this time.

"So, where were we before finding out how tasty you are?"

[personal profile] noc 2013-01-14 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
Pouring them both a class, he moved to balance the the bottle between his feet as he was careful with his own glass. He lightly clinked his to Arthur's, smiling just at the look on his face. Especially that beautiful, wonderful look on his face.

"You look fantastic when you blush like that," he admitted. "I think it's because you have this air about you that makes you look so... together," he teased. "FDR has that look so I know it. Even in jeans and a tee shirt. Me I look like I dressed in the dark sometime."

[personal profile] noc 2013-01-16 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
"Not exactly the most eye catching." He couldn't help himself. He laughed at that, definitely seeming to enjoy the way that sounded. "That's good. I think that is the kindest thing you've ever said," he admitted. "Or anyone about my fashion."

Adding the last since they only just met. "But thank you. I like to think I can handle anything."

[personal profile] noc 2013-01-17 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Tuck considered that, watching Arthur with a look that could only be described as wicked. His tongue brushed along the edge of the glass before he took a sip. Still he stared at the other man before leaning closer to him.

"Wait until I'm not worried about being watched... or arrested," he murmured.

At the announcement, Tuck started moving. Organizing the empty bottles and glasses, and handing them to the flight attendant as she came through. Settling in for the landing, glancing at Arthur because he didn't like this ending thing. He hadn't thought that far ahead to where kisses and everything else went when the plane landed.

"So... If you have the time, why not have dinner tomorrow," he asked, not sure he would agree to it, but he was willing to try. "You can contact me if you want. No pressure," he assured him, blushing and ducking his head.
