"Thanks," he said, resting his head back on the seat as he waited for the other man to get on the line. When he did, he felt a relieved little smile tug on his lips.
"You sound as bad as I feel," he said by way of response. "It's fucking good to hear your voice." His voice sounded just as tense and worn out than he would likely admit to.
